A NEW EXPERIENCE OF CHOCOLATE

The Benjamin Family discover their passion for chocolate in 2014. They start experimenting at home making chocolate from raw cacao. Their idea is to make the first Bulgarian organic raw chocolate, sweetened with agave syrup.

Their passion, however, does not slow down and for several years they taste hundreds of chocolates from around the world. This leads to their new passion – chocolate, made of roasted cacao beans.

The two brothers Krassimir and Martin Benjamin along with Martin’s wife Sarah Alsbey studied the history of cacao and bean processing technology. In the beginning of 2017 two new brands – Benjamíssimo and Happy Benjamino – were born – 16 new products with interesting recipes.

With their acquired knowledge they equip a factory, hire and train a chief technologist and a whole chocolate crew to become aware and professional with the production processes behind the subtle chocolate tastes. From the cacao bean, imported from distant Nicaragua to the “sensual touch” when tasting the final product, you will feel the undeniable health benefits and good taste.

The certification of all organic standards, plus transparency in the supply chain, are a matter of course for us. Our Organic-certified producers of cacao apply the ancient system of the permaculture in which cacao trees are planted among trees like mango, avocado and papaya. Thus the fine exotic fragrances of these trees are entwined in the rich and unique aroma of that extraordinary cacao.

CACAO

Cacao has more antioxidant activity than tea, wine, blueberries and even goji berries. Ultimately, it’s the flavanoids in cacao that makes it an above-and-beyond superfood.

COCONUT

Coconut is an excellent source of healthy fat. It also adds an amazing creamy texture to our vegan milk chocolates and offers a great diary substitution.

COCONUT BLOSSOM SUGAR


Coconut blossom sugar is made from the sap of flower buds from the coconut tree. This sugar has much lower glycemic index compared to the regular sugar. Its aroma is incredible – mild floral and caramel notes.

CHIA SEEDS

In the Mayan language chia means “strength”. The chia seeds are rich in fiber, omega-3 fats, protein, vitamins, and minerals.

The world’s most favourite chocolate taste is the one with hazelnuts. At the same time hazelnuts are good for your heart, help reduce the risk of cancer, and aid in muscle, skin, bone, joint and digestive health.

GLUTEN FREE

A gluten-free diet strictly excludes gluten, a mixture of proteins found in wheat and related grains, including barley, rye, oat and others. All our chocolate bars are entirely safe for people with gluten sensitivity.

RAW CACAO

Raw chocolate is chocolate which is produced in a raw or minimally-processed form. It is made from unroasted (sun-dried) cacao beans and cold pressed cacao butter. Raw chocolate’s cacao beans are processed under 45°C, while other chocolates are made on temperatures over 160°C – 180°C.
